The honest and frank comments from my students often brought a smile to my face. Children can say the funniest and sweetest things. Matthew is no exception. Below is a list of his recent "words of wisdom":
*If it’s too hot for pants, you should “just wear your legs”
*When you really want something, ask Nana – “Her always says yes”
*After spending time with a younger friend: ”Mom, you should always share your stuff. A lot of people don’t know this rule”
*You’re never too young for Starbucks coffee cake
*The flowers on display at Wal-Mart are not meant to be picked.
*Cats do not like to be startled, hit or chased with noisy, light-up swords. Unless they are warned, neither do moms.
*Telling your mom you "wuv" her because "she's so pretty" will always bring good results, including treats and/or an extra bedtime story.
And, finally:
*When thanking God, remember the important stuff, like candy sprinkles, Star Wars toys and Chick-Fil-A
