The best sound....

Vacation!

Checking out the fish tank at Rainforest Cafe.  She loves animals.

The living room camp-out with Daddy.

Alan and Matthew checking out the fountain.

Ahhhh....

Headed to the Water park with Gram.

A dessert fit for a little boy.

They both loved the glass elevators.

We're Doomed!

Helen managed to get past the baby gate.  Matthew saw her and said: "Oh, no.  We're doomed".  I agree.  Oh, she also found a way to entertain herself.

Homeschool Co-Op

We joined a local homeschool co-op (love it!).  Among the things they offer is ELO - Extended Learning Opportunities.  Once a week, homeschool students can attend classes for their grade (Elementary) or subject (for Jr and HS students).  Here are pictures of our first day.

Poor kid - he was facing the sun!  But still excited.

Check out this cool classroom!

Kindergarten!

My little guy is officially a Kindergartner (sniff, sniff)!  And, considering we have Helen, all things considered, it has gone really well.  I love, love, love watching my Pirate learn...and watching our Princess watch him.

In his favorite shirt, ready to get started.

He still looks little in this picture - love it.

Ready for some Math - Pattern Block Puzzles

Getting a stamp for a job well done.

And the moment he was waiting for....erupting a volcano!

This Week with Helen

I think, at a child's birth, if a mother could ask a fairy godmother
to endow it with the most useful gift, that gift should be curiosity.
Eleanor Roosevelt

Not pictured (for safety reasons) all she tried to eat this week: 10 lego heads (at the same time), a small bouncy ball, and part of the binding from Goodnight Moon.

Good thing I agree with Mrs. Roosevelt!

Way to Go!

Getting his Game Face on

Karate Move

He did it - Orange Belt!

Lined up so we can cheer them on!
